Thanks much, great notes ... I was going down the same extremely frustrating path with Galileo, then Ganymede 3.4.2 so this helped tremendously. Beginning BlackBerry Development by Anthony Rizk is a good source for a HelloWorld app too.

Well, that's all well and good...but how do you test to see if you installed it correctly? I can't even find reference on how to run Blackberry Java files. (The closest I've found mentioned ".jdw" workspace files)

Well. I appreciate the general aroma of this post. It smells positive and thoughtful.

However. Are you crazy?? You want to build a professional corporate team based on the nostalgic musings from adolescent restaurant days? Sure we remember the good times. It's the way our brains are wired.

Personally, I keep my workplace professional and my leisure time with friends loose. And it's very rare that they interact. I don't socialize with coworkers and I don't take on serious work projects with friends. Maybe it's just me, but it just never works well.

I agree with most of your comments above about a good team. I think the people and composition of the team and if the skills of each member compliment the others etc and HR have a vital role in this respect.
